I just wanted to let everybody know that I had a blast over the weekend.

The show last Sat. started with a gentleman who goes by "Millennium Disciple". He does "Urban Gospel", which is musically similar to rap/hip-hop but the exact opposite in every other way. He let us know up front that he's trying to distance himself from all the baggage that comes with having "rap" anywhere in your description. Oh, and for the record, while I'm not a big fan of the genre, this man ROCKS! (Jim, if you could get me a link to this man's website, I'd like to add it to this main article.)

Next up was Eden's Way, a more '80s-ish band with a front man that looks a lot like Dio. They had a killer sound and a very skilled young man on the guitar - don't worry, he brought his note from home saying he could be up that late. (Kidding) They played this bluesy tune near the end of their set, and I meant to find out what it was because it was great. These guys were a lot of fun on and off the stage.

And, of course the night went into full swing when everybody's favorites came out of the gates rocking with "Revelation Lamentation" - and it didn't stop until the lights were out. Will had a killer sound - he was channeling some Heavenly Chorus pedals or something. Jay was bouncing around and hitting those solid bass lines up to his usual high standards. Steve has really grown in to an amazing front man. Please don't misunderstand, he was really good when he started with the band, but now he's absolutely awesome. Steve had the audience singing along (well, I saw the lips moving, I couldn't hear them over Will's Marshal - as it should be). Bob was banging on those drums in a way that would make Alex Van Halen jealous.

These guys rocked the house. I guess I am a little partial to them though...

As exhausted as I am, I hope to have some new photos up in the gallery either later tonight or in the next couple of days. I'll probably go back and edit this post to add some photos of the guys, Eden's Way, and Millennium Disciple once I'm through.

If you missed the show, don't worry - we've got plenty more lined up.
